Marcelo specialises in cattle and sheep reproductive physiology. His ongoing projects are based around the improvement of reproductive methodologies to enhance fertility in cattle (superovulation and ovulation synchronisation). This includes aseasonal induction of oestrus and ovulation in sheep, follicular dynamics in prolific (Booroola) sheep during oestrous cycle, oestrus synchronisation and superovulation programmes and cattle twinning.
