Duane Harland
Senior Scientist
I have been fascinated by science from a young age. Trained in biology and computer science, I have PhD from the University of Canterbury.
From 2003 at AgResearch I have passionately focused on the structure, proteome, chemistry, function and biological assembly of keratin materials, including hair from a menagerie of mammals. My goal is to apply clever processes learned from nature into planet-friendly materials. I also lead our micro-structure capability, including electron microscopy.
