Originally from Canada, my passion for animal behaviour and welfare research has taken me around the world. I conducted my MSc at the University of Edinburgh and then fell in love with New Zealand during my PhD in Animal Science through Massey, AgResearch and SRUC. I am now a scientist based at Ruakura Research Centre in Hamilton, where my research is focused on the use of animal sensor technologies to measure behaviour and welfare in livestock animals, particularly with dairy cattle and sheep.
