My focus is the enzymes of methanogens, the microbes in sheep and cows rumens that produce methane. We target methanogens to decrease agricultural methane emissions.
I grew up on a citrus orchard, did a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Waikato and post docs at the University of Chicago and Massey University.
I am a keen genealogist (traditional family history and genetic genealogy via DNA testing) studying towards a genealogy qualification. My forebears first arrived in Aotearoa in 1842.
