Rachel Anderson
Science Team Leader - Food Function and Physiology
I am the Science Team Leader for Gut Model Systems. I originally studied Biotechnology but found I was more interested in biology than engineering, so I went on to do a PhD. Since 2004 I have been a Scientist at AgResearch where for the first 10 years I focused on the effects of foods and bacteria on gut health. This then extended to understanding the communication between the gut and brain. From this I became fascinated with the way people think so I am now studying psychology.
