I am an immunologist/molecular biologist, involved in vaccines and advanced molecular diagnostic assays development. I am employing CRISPR/Cas-based genetic approaches to identify novel genes either to be used as vaccine antigens or develop alternative therapeutics for animal health. I am also identifying novel biomarkers (non-coding RNA) of infectious diseases as well as animal wellbeing and developing advanced diagnostic tools to detect bacterial and viral pathogens and for pest management.
