Senior Scientist
I grew up in Timaru and I’m from Scottish, English and Māori (Ngāti Kauwhata) ancestry.
After my Ph.D. in Plant Ecology from Otago University, I worked for the New South Wales Dept of Agriculture for 10 years.
Based in Kirikiriroa/Hamilton from 2007, my research interests are focused on the ecology and management of grazed pastures. This includes pasture establishment, persistence, diversity and production – as well as the effects of, and impact on, the environment.
