As AgResearch has transitioned to new ways of working in support of the COVID-19 response, our attention has turned to working with the relevant Government Agencies to confirm our Essential Services and the Critical Exceptions to facility access required to support these services.

With our primary lens continuing to be supporting the fight against COVID-19, we have set a high threshold in terms of the Critical Exceptions and the mitigations wrapped around the individuals involved to ensure any risk to our staff or public health is absolutely minimised.

Those services deemed as Essential for AgResearch are particularly focused around diagnostics work in support of critical and ongoing biosecurity initiatives, and in addition, we have Critical Exceptions in terms of facility access to support animal welfare and to maintain biological assets of National importance.

We also continue to work with Government to identify capability and facilities that could contribute directly to the COVID-19 response.

We appreciate that the high threshold we have applied to Essential Services will impact individual project delivery.

We are working as quickly as possible to assess that impact at project level, so that informed discussions can be progressed with the relevant stakeholders.

As part of this process, we will also be exploring additional or alternative work of value that could be progressed by our team while we are under working from home protocols.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss any such opportunities directly with you.

In the interim as previously suggested, should you have any questions about the status of specific projects, please contact your relevant Account or Sector Manager in the first instance.
