The Grassland Cover Estimator app is a tool to help farmers estimate the percentage of ground in a pasture that is covered by a particular component, be it a weed, desirable plant, bare ground, litter or insect damage.
The app uses the 'step-point' analysis (point intercept) method to calculate the percentage cover from a series of present and absent observations.
The data is saved automatically and can be exported as a CSV file for later detailed analysis.
